Yesterday, September 9th, UChicago hosted five system implementation firms at the Law School, in what one attendee termed a "very well-run and illuminating day." The sessions allowed the firms to elaborate on their responses to the RFP and to introduce themselves to University staff members.
In the presentations, Oversight Committee members learned about the backgrounds of the companies and their proposed team members. After each presentation, there was also a 30-minute Q&A session, where staff members could try to better understand the company's approach and judge how well the proposed team would "fit" with the University.
At the close of the day, attendees were sent a survey that allowed them to share their thoughts on each provider and also rank them in order of preference. Results of the survey will weigh heavily in the project team's recommendations to University leadership.
