A new milestone in the Academic Information System project was reached on Saturday, July 30, when Student Financials and other enhancements to the Student Services WorkCenter—College matriculation and term activation—were deployed in AIS. At this point the project is 85 percent complete, with portions of College Advising the largest component left to implement. The Academic Information System is now in stabilization and support mode.
Over the next few months training in the new system will continue with a range of information sessions designed to support AIS users. Sessions covering specific topics and opportunities to gain online assistance will be scheduled throughout the months ahead; specific dates and times will be announced. To find current information, visit the project website.
As the implementation of AIS nears completion, the Registrar’s Office is requesting that all academic administrative staff comply with two security measures required by the University:
All academic staff are encouraged to take or re-take FERPA training, and 2Factor Authentication is required for AIS users. These steps help protect the privacy of student information; compliance is appreciated.
