Training to begin for Go Live 1

Go-Live 1

The first “go-live” of the AIS multi-phased implementation is coming up. In mid-Autumn Quarter, the first functionalities of the system will be available to departments serving certain roles: Admissions (data integration for incoming students), Financial Aid (for incoming College student financial aid packaging), and the Registrar (academic structure foundation and initial course data conversion).

Those who need to be trained to use AIS during the first go-live will be contacted directly, and updates about training sessions and specific user groups will be posted on the AIS website.

Working Groups

In preparation for Go-live 1, the project team has been working with representatives across the academic units to review business processes for Joint/Dual Degrees, Transcripts and GPA,  and Leaves and Withdrawals. Future working groups will focus on Registration, Graduate Education, Business Intelligence and Reporting, Data Standards, and Institutional Financial Aid.

Information Sessions

The summer information session series for academic administrators began on Friday, July 24, and will continue through August 25. At the hour-long sessions, project representatives will answer questions, present an overview of the project, and provide the most up-to-date news on UChicago’s AIS. RSVP to a session on our website.

As always, please contact us if you have questions or suggestions.
