The Academic Information System is UChicago’s system of record

As of Autumn Quarter 2016, AIS is the system of record for registration, student biographic and demographic information, financial aid, and student accounts.

Faculty Access is using AIS data, though the user experience remains largely unchanged at this time. Access to class lists and photo rosters for the Autumn Quarter opened September 7. For more information, visit the Registrar’s Faculty Access webpage.

Other online tools include:

  • Opting-out or adding custom questions to the College Course Evaluations for eligible courses
  • Online grading interface for eligible courses
  • Textbook ordering links

Problems or concerns about the new my.UChicago (including public classes search, registration for students, consent requests) can be sent to the AIS Project at aisproject@uchicago.edu.

A Faculty Advisory Committee has been organized to inform the project on functionality needs with the faculty self-service experience, and to discuss proposed academic policy changes raised by the Deans of Students. The committee membership can be found on the Governance page.
